Halpern’s Whimsical & Wacky London Fashion Week Show

“I’ve been called tacky quite a lot!” said designer Michael Halpern in a 2017 interview. The 31-year-old New York designer who’s decided to make Britain his permanent home created an ode to his new residence at his latest show for London Fashion Week, mixing funky with chic, strong prints with killer boots, and and all around parade of Britain’s punk rock history, with a penchant for 70’s glam mixed in. “This season we looked at British women in the 1970s…the contrast between the rebel British woman, the working British woman and the bourgeois British woman…” Workwear turned glam, with capes and animal print galore, Halpern’s latest collection was also one of his best shows to date.
