Odair Pereira (www.dairdesign.com) of DAIR Design made a beautiful mark (both conceptually and aesthetically) at SS16/17 for Art Hearts Fashion with his “True Colors of Friendship Collection.” Pereira’s designs are bold and daring for both women and men and he was definitely a standout at NYFW a few weeks prior and brought that talent to Los Angeles. Personally I loved this show and the strong energy. There is nothing better in runway fashion than when the models rock the show like they were born to wear the
clothes they are modeling. There was a hip vibe and the apparel was both modern and eclectic with an enticing flow. Odair is represented by Joy Bullard of the Style Barre Showroom (www.stylebarre.com) who’s posh list of emerging designers are making unique statements. After the show, Bullard added, “Odair’s menswear line is vibrant with an edgy, Avante Garde, urban approach while the women’s wear was bold and daring.” Bullard added that Odair’s pieces are definitely made for a an audience who wants each garment to demand your energy.
DAIR is a haute couture fashion brand with a casual detail and is known for being different, unique and bringing out the best version of yourself. DAIR emphasizes that all clothing needs to visualize your true identity which makes you stand out at all times.
Odair explained, “My personal challenge is to translate my vision to different sizes and cultures, in the world of DAIR everyone is equal and beautiful in their own special way.” Another words, there are no fashion boundaries. What a beautiful concept for fashion, style and life.
Odair focuses on creating “center of attention pieces” that make you as an individual shine and feels clothing is more than fabric, it’s about YOU, how you feel and incorporating clothing into your lifestyle. This is an inspiring message from a designer because it is not easy to blend trending designs, the designer’s personal vision and listening to what consumers want. However Pereira is doing it.
Odair’s designs will always be trending and current; he also feels that his different silhouettes and unique materials combined with personality and image are the ingredients to success!
Besides designing for DAIR, Odair works as a stylist. Currently he is the stylist for singer Hind, where he combines his own creations with beautiful other pieces and as well as being one of the stylist’s for the EO show Hip voor Nop.
As a stylist, Odair’s objective is to make you look beautiful and fashionable, but the main goal is to make you feel the best version of yourself. Odair noted, “I take great care in listening to my clients, knowing who they are and working together on the best image; how you want the world to perceive you, how you feel most beautiful and comfortable, what kind of story do you want to tell?”
For LAFW 16/17, Odair told a beautiful story and I cannot wait for the next. I loved his final walk and has a beautiful look himself. Appropriately, his vision, motivation and creations produce a strong slogan:
