Vibrate Your Way to Less Cellulite

This is one of those places you discover and think “How the heck have I have never heard of this!” Well, perhaps no one shares the secret because it’s so phenomenal and more importantly there are only three machines.  My apologies to those people… It’s the Xcceleration Station and is located at Harmony Studios in the heart of WeHo.  I  came here three days in a row to get a feel of the different types of classes they have on this fabulous TXS platform also known as the power plate. This machine vibrates 20-50 times per second which engages your muscles through involuntary reflexes of the body. Making normal exercises quadruple as hard! This class is 30 minutes but you really work double as hard in half the time.  Shall we begin…

PowerCore class

This class is 30 minutes and by far is the most intense ab workout I have ever experienced. They have you sit on the plate doing traditional ab exercises such as crunches and bicycles but with the vibrations happening, you feel the pain immediately. They had us do variations of planks holding onto the power plate, and boy was it nuts. My stomach felt super itchy and the instructor told me it was because the vibrations help with your lymphatic system and circulation.  I’m not mad at that.  That night I was already sore, and in the morning my stomach felt so lean, I’m certain including this workout into your routine will surely send you to the best abs you can have.

Cellulite Blast

This is the class you take when you are sore and need to roll out your muscles. It’s also a magical cellulite reducing class. They had us using a roller on top of the power plate and as it vibrated we rolled out all sides of our legs, arms, and butt. I could feel it relieve my sore muscles but also felt absolutely wonderful. I would do this every day if I could.

Pro-Motion Full Body Workout

In this class we used handle bars that connected to the machine and did a variation of arm and leg exercises with of course the magical vibrations. This workout incorporated all body muscles and concluded with a two minute body massage on the machine. Meaning,  rubbing your muscles on the machine easing your muscles, sending you to pure bliss.

Classes are expensive, but if you have the money, it’s totally worth it. If you don’t have that kind of money, take advantage of it on Class Pass.
