CES, the world’s most influential consumer technology event, is back in Las Vegas, transforming the city into a global hub for innovation, bold ideas, and gadget-first experiences. Running January 6–9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, CES brings together visionaries, brands big and small, and forward-leaning tech that tells us exactly where the market is headed next.

This year’s show is bigger and more immersive than ever, with innovations from AI and robotics to wellness, audio tech, sustainable solutions, music interfaces, and beyond. Beyond the headline debuts from industry giants, including everything from ultra-large micro-LED TVs to autonomous service robots, the true excitement lies in the diversity of booths and creators pushing creative boundaries with real-world utility.

Big Trends on the Floor

From cutting-edge artificial intelligence and robotics to next-generation consumer experiences, the core CES story this year is innovation in every corner of tech:

  • Smart home tech and AI devices are evolving beyond convenience into experiential living with intuitive interfaces and adaptive environments.
  • Automotive tech and autonomous systems are gaining traction as leading manufacturers leverage digital and physical AI for safer, more connected transportation.
  • Wearables and personal health tech are front and center, highlighting a consumer shift toward fitness, wellbeing, and performance monitoring.

Almost every keynote and booth features some form of AI, whether it’s powering robots that fold laundry, scale to humanoid interaction, or add new dimensions to gaming and creative workflows.

LAVA TECH BRANDS: Music Meets Play

One of my favorite stops so far has been the LAVA TECH BRANDS booth, where the energy is as vibrant as the tech on display. Among their exciting installations is Lollipop Stars, a music tech experience that does more than play sound, it invites interaction, creativity, and a bit of pure fun.

At a time when music technology is often tied up in software interfaces and studio hardware, Lollipop Stars breaks the mold by blending tactile engagement with audio innovation. Whether you’re exploring beat creation, rhythm interaction, or collaborative play, this booth proves that sound tech can be joyful, expressive, and immersive all at once. (Personal takeaway: get ready for these to blow up on social and in creative circles soon.)

My CES Must-Haves (So Far)

Lavedge Headphones, My New Go-To

These stylish headphones have become my on-the-go essential this week. Not only do they deliver immersive sound quality, but their design and comfort make them ideal for back-to-back meetings and long days on the show floor. Whether tuning into a virtual call or blocking out background noise, Lavedge has quickly become my favorite discovery here.

Fitness Meets Fashion

A shout-out to the standout fitness tech that manages to be both functional and aesthetically impressive. CES has no shortage of smart fitness tools, but the ones I’ve gravitated toward strike a balance between utility and wearable appeal, making them perfect for everyday life outside the trade show buzz too.

Design Toys, Evolved

Not all CES finds are about utility, and that’s where WAKUKU shines. A more playful, next-gen evolution of the cult-favorite Labubu, WAKUKU leans fully into collectible culture with a tech-forward, design-savvy twist. I snagged one on the floor (blue, clearly the right choice), and it instantly became a standout from the day. It’s whimsical, well-designed, and taps into the growing crossover between tech, art toys, and lifestyle collectibles, exactly the kind of unexpected discovery CES does so well when it lets creativity lead.

Why This Year Matters

CES isn’t just about the biggest brands with the biggest budgets. It’s about witnessing where innovation meets everyday life, discovering the startups rewriting how we interact with technology, and connecting with the people behind the ideas.

Whether it’s audio tech that elevates our senses, fitness gear that integrates into our daily rhythms, or playful devices that redefine engagement, this year’s CES reaffirms that the future is not just smart, it’s human-centric, expressive, and full of delight.

I’m heading back for Day Two with a growing list of “must-see” booths and blown-away moments, and I’ll be sharing more insights soon. Stay tuned, the best is yet to be discovered.
