MAXIM sizzles again as they hosted their annual HOT 100 event at The Palladium last Saturday July 30th in partnership with Karma International making Hollywood the town to be seen in last week – Models, Media, Actors, Actresses…even dream boyfriends and dreaded exes were all there to live LA Life as it’s meant to be – SEXY, HOT, DRAMATIC, and SPOKEN ABOUT (and for all the millennials, Snap About it)!
The evening started off as any other red carpet event; find parking, go to check in, wait in line to walk the red carpet, and most importantly – people watch, celeb cite, plus snapchats and selfies! Entering the venue you were checked by security to scan your bracelet (although, we swear they were really checking for hotness approval) and you were then suddenly transported to Maxim’s World of Beauty! First, you walked past some of Maxim’s top magazine covers such as that with Ashley Graham and Sara Sampaio, to name a few, and If you are like us (which we are certain you surely are thanks to the fine guidance of Kim’s SELFIE Book), you definitely stopped to do a mini photo-op. In this room you saw waves of beautiful women posing and hash tagging their comments.

After all, all that strobbing/contouring, and countless hours of shopping were not for nothing (Thank goodness we were on Fleek). Once photo-a-la-cellphone was complete, a few steps down you were able to taste Rose Water with their fruit infuses, a new brand that is sure to be the new SPA WATER of LA; and if you did not try it we definitely recommend the mixed berry (vodka added upon request over ice – YUM!) but past this pre-game tasting is where you were meant to go, and no golden ticket required just your Jessica Rabbit meets Marilyn Monroe strut and appeal (Thank goodness I wore my Kylie lip-gloss highlighted with 5” heels).
Past the double doors was a room oozing energy, cool vibes and just sexy. Dim purple lighting with chandeliers and strobes to create a lively mood, a DJ spinning new tunes that you couldn’t help but twerk and want to grind, and countless numbers of table service with velvet ropes to make their statement (glad we were VIP). Gazing the room, it is clear that this was one of those events that the more skin exposed the better – and believe us, all the “girls” truly came out to play tonight (if you get what we mean). As for the men, it was all about tailored pants, slick hair and amazing cologne to lure us in, and let’s not forget their shoe and watch game – they didn’t mess around, at-least not when it came to their look (all else is free game).

The night would not be a MAXIM evening without the presence of hot models like Charlote McKinney in a smoking mini black dress and celebrities going totally under cover behind massive shades and a blonde wig like Amber Rose. We however had our eyes locked on the Golden Barbie, Jasmine Sanders – want perfection!? Well, she was there in, golden tan, alluring green eyes dressed in WHITE, with slick hair, nude strappies, a gorgeous smile and her best accessory? Terrence J (WE LOVE YOU)! This duo could not have been any hotter this evening. Other celebs to talk about were Angelina’s twin, model Mara Teigen who wore a sexy black leather skirt and nude blouse, and did we mention, lots of skin?! No stops were missed when it came to getting ready on the guests part – kudos to their stylists (we need them on our team!). But the highlights didn’t end there, we not only saw celebs on the carpet but also walking throughout the scene including designs from our local favorite Adolfo Sanchez (this screams SEXY).

The show stopper of the evening, however, goes to another golden beauty – Aussie singer Iggy Azalea. On the red carpet she graced us with a lacey racey look, but on stage, the blond bombshell we have come familiar with came ready to perform her hit song “Fancy” all while wearing a tube top paired with black pants and her well recognized low pony (did we say how beautiful she is close up? Because she is stunning)!
Iggy – you definitely had us at “I-G-G-Y” with a side of “FANCY”.
It was clear for MAXIM TOP 100 Event, If you came single PERFECT! If you had a date…well, let’s just hope it was one of the cover models because this was Hollywood’s version of Pokemon “Gotta Catch’m All!” – and everyone came to play!
