Vans Releases 50 Brand New Sk8-Hi’s for 50th Anniversary Celebration

Semicentennial Milestone Brings Forth an Elevated and Eclectic Selection of Sk8-Hi Styles

Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand has been a staple in L.A. style culture since its inception in 1966.  Ever since then, Vans has created a house-hold name for itself through various demographics.  The L.A. Fashion celebrates the remarkable milestone of their 50th Anniversary by highlighting Vans’ release of 50 brand new Colorways for their popular Sk8-Hi styles for Spring.

The Sk8-Hi was Vans’ very first high-top silhouette, originally released as the “Style 38” in 1977.  Over the years, this shoe has maintained a large audience of fans due to its easily customizable potential as seen by artists and creatives of all sorts.

For the 50th Anniversary, the Sk8-Hi has undergone a series of style upgrades and features like new color offerings, a variety of printed fabrics, and superior material combinations.  However, even with the new offerings, the 50 new releases still maintain the original essence that made this shoe a classic almost 40 years ago.
