Libertine’s Wonderland at NYFW

Libertine, the luxe fashion house for the contemporary, alternative individual held one of it’s best shows at NYFW this February. Created in 2001 by Johnson Hartig, Libertine clothing defies expectations with its collection of elaborate, colorful, and whimsical designs, and this year was no exception. From trench coats featuring encrusted dazzling watches, to 1920s shift dresses with glittering skull necklaces, Libertine, meaning ‘freethinker,’ certainly entertained a freethinking audience with its take on classic fashion.

Backstage, models posed as their hair was being crimped into a 1920s ‘do, and the positive, spontaneous attitude seemed to befit the clothes the models were about to don down the catwalk. LAFM Contributing photographer, Lynn Abesera was there to capture all the best looks from backstage!
