Corestyle X LA Fashion

There was a time when wearing stretchy yoga pants and sneakers to run errands was taboo, improper, and blasphemous. Forget even mentioning spandex in a professional work environment lest you be shunned. However, the tides are changing and so are the wardrobes of the fashionable and professional alike. One brand in particular has caught our attention for its authenticity, spirit, and mission – not to mention the accessible price tag.

Corestyle is a lifestyle brand for active, strong, and confident women who are not afraid to shake up the place and go against the societal grain. We sat down to have a chat with Lauren Luketich, founder and designer of Corestyle, to really delve into what it means to be part of the CORE world.

Why the name Corestyle?

“The name itself says it all – your core is who you are, where you are going, and who you want to become. Your personal style reflects that, and we here at Corestyle want to be a part of who you are, a part of your growth, a booster of support when and if you need it.”

What inspired you to create the brand?

“I really wanted to have a line that was fashion-forward, a little sexy, and something that I could, if I wanted, transition into a piece I could wear out as well. I was also tired of paying an arm and a leg for a $110+ pair of leggings that weren’t matched in quality for the price I was paying. The pieces I created are fun, excellent quality, AND accessible.”

What about Corestyle makes it different?

“We are really not here to be like everyone else. We are not here to pay big money for IT girls to wear our brand and not even know who we are or what we stand for. We are not here to pay for followers on social media. We are not here to build an elitist club. We ARE here for our community, for real women that truly understands what it means to wake up every day, push themselves to be better, do better, and live better than they did yesterday. We ARE here to make really cool pieces that are affordable, high-quality goods. We design what we like. Period. We will not be coming out with “collections” every season according to a fashion calendar. Rather, we will be introducing new pieces when we are inspired to- so keep watch!”

What is the next step for the brand?

“Our mission is to build this community of women all over the country (and one day, beyond) that get together for activities. Hiking, running, coffee, brunch –you name it. The point is to help each other grow, build relationships, and tear down this wall of competition that has been engrained in women. The fact is, we should be standing together and supporting one another.”
