Aniko’s Official Runway Show X Summer 2016

Aniko Official’s fashion show was the place to be on September 9th at the posh W Hollywood hotel. The rising fashion maven’s latest collection, which incorporates a glamorous merge of classic formal wear with modern edge, made its debut during an intimate presentation on the hotel’s chic rooftop. The lavish event, attended by fashion lovers and upscale locals alike, buzzed with high energy that was perfectly fitting for the bold colors and daring designs seen in the label’s newest collection.

The show fully encapsulated the ‘Hollywood Glam’ theme of the garments, with models strutting the red carpet as if they were making their arrival to an award show or exclusive access event. The collection’s designs included a wide range of vibrant, 80’s-inspired colors that made prominent appearances throughout this season’s New York Fashion Week.

Aniko describes French Middle Age fashion as a major inspiration for her collection. The regal beaded designs, floor length hemlines and intricate detailing of the pieces clearly signal the strength of this inspiration.

The selected styles also featured edgy silhuoettes, daring cut outs and metallic accents that proved to be staples of the luxury brand. Among Aniko Official’s innovative designs, there was one point that the namesake brand made clear: skin is in. Whether it was a little extra leg from a high slit or a sheer mesh panel that has become viral ever since Rihanna’s iconic CFDA award Adam Selmen dress, skin was the primary accessory of the night.

For the show’s grand finale, designer Aniko took a strut down the red carpet herself, met by a crowd of fans and photographers. The designer gave off a vibe of sheer serenity as she thanked attendees for supporting her event.

“I’m very excited. This was a very important show for me because it was the first show I did on my own, without other designers. It was a very special moment for me,” Aniko said of her show.
