These days, the goal of fashion seems to be to wear something that makes people ask questions; something that no one has seen or heard of before. People want to be unique.
One designer whose name may not be the most well known, but whose clothing is sure to make every head turn, is Naeem Khan. Khan’s hometown is Mumbai, India, a place in which he was surrounded by art, culture, and architecture. Khan also had the opportunity to be able to witness firsthand the intricate fabrics that were worn by Indian royal families. The way in which Khan encompasses each of these aspects within his designs is intriguing. When he moved to the United States to launch his career, he continued to use his surroundings to his benefit, ultimately creating his own unique style. His very first collection was launched in 2003. Since then, women all around the world have been captivated by Khan’s clothing, such as Beyoncé, Penelope Cruz, and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Although Naeem Khan may not be the first name that pops up in your head when you think of well-known fashion designers, this man is a work of art and is a force to be reckoned with.
