Otium is the next restaurant you should be trying out! It is a grand new project by former French Laundry chef de cuisine Timothy Hollingsworth. Located next to the new Broad Museum, it is a great location for those who want to have a fulfilling day of inspiration and good eats to top it off. Hollingsworth’s vision redefines dining through a more casual lens.
There is more of a focus on the quality of food, service, and relaxed ambiance. The space is designed in order to make the environment more social, so the indoor and outdoor sections merge together. The name Otium is derived from a latin word that emphasizes a place where time can be spent on leisurely social activities.
The cooking is rustic with wood fire and sustainable ingredients grown in the garden of the restaurant’s mezzanine. Brunch, lunch, dinner, and “on the go” is offered. Most of the dishes on the menu feature different types of fish, pasta dishes, and salads etc. This is the perfect date spot or just a place to go out and have a great time with friends.
